This community is remarkable not only because its entry thresholds are completely open to all ages, but also because it is a fully residential learning process, aligned to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), targeting a carbon neutral (zero carbon ) footprint and the vision of reaching there by 2030. 'Living and Learning' - is the symbol and mantra of this community. Younger learners, and especially those with a K-12 target will sail through a certification process of an Open Board, under a "Play - Do - Learn", model. But what is -also unique is the mainstreaming of the Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) process which is a part of the UN goals (4.7) The community township is woven around the "Gaia' concept, and encompasses a delicately balanced living process fully aligned to nature's needs. But more importantly the community will be born and take root in a "Collaborative and Non-Commercial Exchange" platform. In other words transactions of all kinds will be tempered by a non-profit motive. The story is told through the eyes of its first learner. It may be interesting to note that the entire documentary was put together with dated hardware from a decade ago, and using only open source software. As a result, some imperfections in the quality is apparent and may be excused. Please watch it only if you have an hour to spare, and please keep your volume raised.
